My Name is Brooke Elizabeth Welch. I am 28 years old and reside with my husband and son in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I studied Massage Therapy at Kee Business College in Hampton Roads Virgina, where I recieved numerous certificates for academic achievement and 750 hours of education. I am insured with AMTA and have passed the National Certification Exam. I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist now for six years and have loved every second of it. After high school I was drawn to the healthcare and wellness field. I began on a nursing path when I was 17yrs old, and continued to work with alzheimers, and oncology patients in a regional medical center while attending nursing school. I gradually over the years of working in a hospital setting decided to venture out and explore more of a preventitive/alternative medicine, nutrition, and wellness. I ultimatley made the decision to take my career in this direction and I could not be happier. Massage therapy has changed my life and has taught me to take care of myself , my family, and my clients. It is my passion to teach others the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and the therapeutic effects of massage therapy. No longer is it just a luxury in a day spa but also a means to combat chronic and acute pain conditions, prevent injury, and help improve posture in a now flexion dominant society. I am currently certified in Myoskeletal Alignment with The Freedom From Pain Institiute with additional continuing education in ethics and Muscle Energy Technique. My massage techniques include trigger and tender point therapy, stretching, therapeutic deep tissue, and relaxation. I will do my absolute best to use my knowledge and experience to cater to your specific needs. I look foward to meeting you and creating a beautiful and nurturing experience in every session while helping you achieve your bodywork goals.
